I recommend this the best. It comes with a usb 3 port, SD card port, and Microsoft office pre installed. It also comes with a keyboard dock. There is the option for a 500 gig hard drive+ 32 gig ssd which is 399.

If you want an 8 inch with more portability then the Dell Venue 8 Pro is a good tablet. It doesn't have the USB port, but still has an sd card slot, and an IPS display.

No problem. Go for the Transformer book like I previously said. If you have a flash drive or want to use a usb mouse it's got you covered. Also, a free nice looking keyboard case. Dell has a windows 8 tablet for 500 bucks (can't remember model off top of my head) and they charge 150 bucks for the official keyboard case.

I'd still go with the transformer pad. Remember, the keyboard with it is detachable which you probaly already knew. But if you want to write a paper or something on it, then the keyboard would be convenient.
