I have to buy a phone now.I need a phone which can perform occasional gaming.I would Play games like Modern Combat, Gta and Nova.

So Some Questions regard SP-

1) Will the dual core enough for gaming.

2)Higher resolution of Phone will reduce the game quality?

3)will it be able to play lower quality video like 320 x 240.

4) Or should i look for quad core phones like Moto G or Sony Xperia M2.\

It should be fine for gaming. A 1.7Ghz dual core is more than enough for gaming.

Higher resolution will not interfere with game quality. But the viewing angles will not be that good considering its TFT panel.(while IPS in Moto G will provide better viewing angles)

Lower resolution videos will be played but due to bigger screen and resolution of phone the video quality of such videos will be distorted while playing it at fullscreen.

Also Xperia SP has Adreno 320 GPU while Moto G and Xperia M2 have Adreno 305 GPU. This will bring a significant increase in Gaming performance of Xperia SP

Higher resolution increase your visual experience in games. It is just that playing 320×240 content even on 4inch 800×480 phone doesnt looks good.

Xperia SP is good for its price range.

But at lower price Moto G looks better and has better display than SP. The only drawback in Moto G is unavailability for Ext SD card slot. If you'r okay with that then Moto G appears more bang for buck.

Also what is your budget?
