LG G Pad vs Nexus 7 or wait for Nexus 8?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy my first tablet for study (reading,surfing) purposes and for watching videos. Screen quality and battery life are the most important things for me. I've narrowed down my choices to the three listed in topic. I'm leaning towards the LG since I've tried the iPad 3, and I think I'd prefer an 8" screen over a 7". How is the display on the LG compared to the iPad's?
If the Nexus 8 does come out in late April I could wait for that, but what do you reckon the price tag will be? I could get the LG for £199 from Amazon which sounds like a pretty good deal, and £250 is the highest I'm willing to go for a tablet. Do you think the LG is worth the £30 more over the Nexus 7?

Get the Nexus 7 the Nexus 8 will probably come out in 2015 at earliest and IMO opinion not worth the wait and im still rocking the 2012 version and it runs flawlessly havent had one problem,Overall Id get the nexus 7 no use waiting for something that will be outdated in the next year

I don't know about the LG, but the the picture on my nexus 7 2013 looks great. I watch youtube and DirectTV on it in HD qualitly with no problems.
