Trying to upload pictures from android cell to Laptop. I have done this before but now my laptop is saying there is no internet connection to install the software. All I am using is the USB cable from my cell charger and that has worked in the past.

Connect it to your usb port with your charging cable, wait for the drivers to download (They should do so automatically) then go to your file explorer and under the computer tab there should be your phone. Click on it and go to I believe DCIM. Your photos should all be there. Select them then copy them to your computer.

If your internet is not down try Airdroid, it is a free (android) app on the Google play store. It is very easy to use. It is what I use to copy videos/photos over.
