Is it wise to buy lumia 920 in 2014?

Lumia 920 has some issues like overheating and battery drain. It was also launched September 2012, so is it still a wise buy? Which are the other alternatives?
Looking for decent screen size 4.5" to 6" so Lumia 1320 is also my consideration.
Are the problems of 920 sorted out? And will 920 be getting updates from Nokia/MS here after?
Help me choose! If 920 is still a good buy; will go for it!

Good looks
Decent Cam
Minimum 1.5 day of battery life

920 is not at all bad. But it's kind of old. Try going for 925 and if you can manage for 1020. Say yay and go for it..

Thanks for the response. No I cant afford 1020 and 925 did not clicked me as much as 920 did. Will think of 920 then.

Yes I'm almost fixed my decision and going with Lumia 920!

You should consider Xperia Z also. It has better camera and bigger screen.

If you're in the market for the 920, keep in mind that it's been recently replaced by the far newer 1020 and the much larger "phablet" (ugh hate that term) style Lumia 1520. I'd personally go for the 1020 myself.

I'm not looking for Android actually! I already have an Android cell; Xperia Mini Pro! I'm a Sony fan; but current want a Windows 8 cell. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thanks for the suggestion; but I can't afford 1020; 1320 can be a choice but bigger screen is an advantage as well as disadvantage too in certain conditions, if 920 is not a wise buy will choose 1320 insead!

Yeah I'm really interested in WP8 but my provider only offers two devices right now and neither one has the functionality of the Android phones being offered.
