Kurio 7 Tablet Dead, Not Charging, Getting Very Hot

Hello Everyone,

I have a Kurio 7 Tablet that is totally dead. It was not damaged in anyway and I bought it brand new. It will not charge at all and no lights come on when plugging in the charger (both USB and AC adapter chargers). But when I do plug it in to charge, the logic board gets very hot. I took the case off and noticed that part of the board gets burning hot. The battery does not get hot at all and doesn't seem to be charging in the least.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Send it back for a repair in under warranty or buy a better make as it sounds like the charging circuit has burnt out

So that is what this type of issue would be? The charging circuit on the logic/motherboard has gone bad? It just now went out of warranty so I can't send it back. I'm probably going to just buy a new one. But I also wanted to know how to repair it (by finding the root problem).

Could be a bad solder on the power input, which if your careful can be replaced, its bust, so nothing to loose trying.

I had the same problem and just solved it. There's a reset buttom next to the mic, use a paper clip and hold down for 5 sec. Should turn on.
