i narrowed it down to 4 choices based on my wants and budget.

basically i want a laptop browsing the internet, watching movies etc, a bit of schoolwork and games like nba 2k, fifa, war thunder, maybe some cool strategy but it doesnt have to be ultra detail.
here are the nominees :) :

LENOVO G510 59-390417 / Core i3 4000M, DVDRW, 4GB, 1000GB + 8GB SSD, Radeon HD 8750M, 15.6'' LED, LAN, BT, HDMI, kamera, DOS

LENOVO Z500 59-376077 / Core i3 2348M, DVDRW, 4GB, 1000GB, GeForce GT740M, 15.6'' LED, LAN, BT, kamera, DOS

ASUS X550VB-XO043D, Core i3-3110M, 4GB, 750GB, DVD-SM, GT740 2GB

ACER Aspire V5-552G NX.MCTEX.019 / QuadCore A10-5757M, 8GB, 500GB, Radeon HD 8750M, 15.6'' LED, LAN, kamera, HDMI, USB 3.0, Linux

the price is about the same and if you need more specs just ask

thank you!

I would personally get the top system, the Lenovo G510 59-390417. I am not sure about screen resolution, but they are probably all 1366x768. Reasons for choosing this one:

Pros:
Fastest CPU
Lowest power CPU
Best Hard Drive. It has an HHSD, which I know from personal use gives a small boost when booting the PC and other rare times so it helps.
The graphics in it are best. Looking at benchmarks, the "GT740M" actually performs 4% better, but it only has DDR3 RAM and you have a 50% chance that it will only have a 64-bit bus which would give much lower performance. While the Radeon HD 7850M will have a 128-bit bus and if it has GDDR5 then it will out perform the "GT740M".
SO to summarize graphics, at worst it will be 4% slower than the other computers, at best it will be faster.

Cons:
It only has 4GB of RAM. This is not a huge issue, but if you have a little extra cash I would advise you to buy an extra 4GB of RAM and put into it.

thanks for the response, yes, all of them have 1366x768

basically I eliminated the Lenovo Z500 (not good CPU) and Acer (this AMD is obviously also not that great). It comes down to Lenovo G510 and the Asus so the question is if the difference between i3 4000M and i3 3110M is bigger than the Gt 740m and Radeon 8750M

The i3-4000M is better by 10%.

The 740M and 8750M are roughly equal with very little difference, but thats comparing the WORST 8750M to the BEST 740M.

The best 8750M with GDDR5 is better than the best 740M which has GDDR3 and a 128-bit interface.
The worst 740M with 64-bit interface is much worse than the worst 8750M with GDDR3.
