how much problems does Intel Atom cause with apps?

I found pretty nice deal on tablet but it uses an Intel Atom cpu. I read that this can cause some applications not to run. How wide spread aka big of a problem is that. I decided to get tablet for myself and do like to play a lot of the little free games on there time to time. Kingsoft, Flipboard, pulse, and netflix are basically -must- haves.

I just returned a tab 3 10.1" because its performance was random. It could hum along for an hour of web browsing then ignore an input for a few seconds...then go back to working like nothing happened. The Note 8 im using now uses a different cpu and is consistent, but it also has twice as much ram. So I dont know if the cpu or the ram were to blame on the tab 3 10.1. (Or both)
