Hi,

Looking to purchase a small laptop / ultrabook.
My main requirements are:

  • ■ Lightweight & portable (13"-14" screen)
    ■ Decent battery life (+4 hours)
    ■ Matt / non-glare screen (I don't really want touchscreen either)

This will be used for web browsing and typing word documents, with the occasional HD video being the most intensive thing it will need to do. I will want to be able to use this outside/on trains so a decent non reflective screen is critical.

From Googling I have selected the following laptops. I would be very grateful for any comments on suitability / bang for buck. I'd rather spend a little as possible if it will perform for my needs:

Samsung 5 Series 530U4B - £645

Samsung 5 Series 530U3C - £680

Samsung 900X3D - £830

Samsung Series 9 NP900X3B - £700 (refurb)

At the moment I am liking the refurb 9 series as it has a much nicer screen than the 5 series, although I am a little nervous about the lack of warranty by going this route. Perhaps the 530U3C would be a good middle ground?

Any thoughts or alternatives would be very gratefully received.
