Hey guys (;

I've decided to buy a Macbook Pro 13", probably with i7 and 8Gb Ram (non retina). I want to start producing music again and my laptop sucks like hell, so i guess it's time for a new one ^^
Should i get an SSD, HDD or both?? Do i need more ram? Is retina better?
Is i5 as good as i7 for producing music?! DO I NEED 15"?? HEEELP! :D
Ooh.. And will the mac become faster, slower or will nothing happen if you got both HHD and SSD??

1.8GB RAM is fine.
2.Retina is better yes.In specs,build quality and battery life
3.13" vs 15" is a personal preference
4.If you get MBP retina,it's all SSD but if you get the non-retina version,you can take out the optical drive and put a SSD/HDD there
5.If the OS is installed on the SSD,it'll make your system feel faster and the UI will be more responsive

Thanks alot! But if i want MBP retina AND i7 it will be soo expensive /: Is it worth it to spend the extra money for i7 if i want retina too?? I would like a fast responding mac, but i'm wondering if i will need more space. Will retina help me when producing music or is it just eyecandy? Thanks for your response!
