What smartphone should I buy?

Well I don't need much, just wifi and a good screen.

Don't have that much money to spend (~£100) and was looking around and the Xperia U looked cool? How is it ? I heard ICS made it slow but can I revert the update?

I have no idea about phones so post links to phones you think are good for how much money I have.

I don't mind second hand phones as long as they aren't beat up etc and look like legit sales..
