He wants to be able to play games nicely, but MAINLY it's about something with ~5h battery life and portable for college...I like his budget, gives me nice headroom.I'm looking at these parts and barebones kits...
The way custom laptops are apparently very limited "compatibility" between systems and parts...and I want to be able to buy some things separate for cheaper...but if it comes cheaper bundled with it that's cool too.
Small screen 13-15" is fine too.
thinking maybe 12-16 GB DDR3 is fine. i5-i7mobile version...300-500GB HDD is fine too.
windows 7 and office of course
WLAN is a no-brainer

right, but I could just do the 400$ 13" and get that 7970m and add small HDD for maybe 100$and 12 GB RAM for the same price. I don't need ALL the options, man, just basics and nice processing power
