Hi! I have a Sony Vaio VGN FS660 with a black screen of death. Laptop powers up, hard drive spins and the fan comes on. But the screen never lights up. I'm fairly illiterate when it comes to hardware, so bear with me.

What led to this: was working in Photoshop, when toddler pressed power button, system attempted to force close and I canceled. Closed laptop when done, later powered on and it was stuck on the "VAIO" boot screen. Powered off using power button and now the screen won't come on.

Things I've tried: removing battery letting rest and putting back in, F keys do nothing, Reseated 2 RAM chips under access Door. Reseated Hard drive. Soooo.....what's next?

Pulled a monitor out of storage and hooked up the cable. Its like the monitor isn't even getting a signal. And stays in power save mode.
