Hi, try removing latest version you've installed (don't worry pointer & clicking will still work)
then install previous version at asus support ( should find a quick link, in you favorites, under ASUS-E SERVICE, Downloads)
This happened to me after being prompted to update, only to find it hadn't been put in start-up menu,
and program priority had been set to "below normal" by default
Hope this helps, as I spent hours trawling web to no real avail, this was my own solution, see if it works for you
