Not too shabby for 100 bucks. Sony is really doing great "on paper" so far lately with PS4 and other gadgets like this. They are really spacing out prices well so they can get into every home

@Blahman11

because you need a full port to play a ps2 game on the vita, its not as simple as just emulate the ps2 on it. the ps3 could emulate the ps2 to some degree when it was allowed to, but even then it only emulated it at sub hd levels, and the vita if i remember right uses a modified arm architecture opposed to whatever the ps2 used, which would demand at least 7X the processing power of the ps2 to even start to emulate.

Well, I suppose this should take care of the Vita's problem with Devs feeling the need to shove gimmick touch controls down our throats, since if they try to do so now, their games won't be compatible with the Vita TV. It'll be necessary to at least give people the option to use only physical button controls instead.

PS2 games have got to have next to no market value. Let us buy thm on the PSN network for play on Vita or PS3 / 4 for app prices (1 or 2 US$) and you'll get good money that you wouldn't otherwise get and take money that would have otherwise gone to Google or Apple.

Sony should make it possible to use PS4 controllers with this later on, and should ask game developers to patch their Vita games to not rely on touch controls since even the PS4 controller doesn't have sufficient touch capability.

Sony should also have game developers recompile all their old systems' games to run natively on the newer hardware and allow dynamic higher spatial and temporal pixel throughput and higher accuracy and precision just like games and emulators on PC do. Plus people who bought those old games already should get the upgraded versions for free or at least for a massive discount.

I like the idea, it makes sense to target this market since the console is currently struggling at its price. Its certainly got more potential and better games available for it than any of the android consoles. And the hardware will continue to be supported for the next few years, especially with the Vita sales spike that the PS4 will inevitably bring.

however, if Im ever going to get a Vita, Id get the portable console.
