Microsoft Surface Pro To Orion SLED2468W HD TV

Hello Everyone,

I am running into an issue setting the resolution when connecting my Surface Pro to my Orion SLED2468W HD TV. First my setup, I have a mini displayport to HDMI adapter plugged into the mini displayport output on the Surface Pro, which is then connected to an HDMI cable which then plugs into the Orion TV.
The TV's resolution is 1366 x 768 and it has an aspect ratio of 16:9.
When I right click on the desktop and select "screen resolution" it brings me to a link under the display selection of the control panel. Once there, it has the numbers 1|2 on one screen and the picture of the second screen won't show up even if I try using "detect". I believe that if I can get the computer to recognize the TV then I should be able to set the correct resolution, I am just stuck on what to do from here.

Since a tv is not a monitor it has a tuner and you do have to be careful which inputs you use, so you want to make sure that your connecting to one of the AV inputs. You may be doing that but I have no way to know if you are.
