Is it possible to activate a Samsung Acclaim on Verizon?

My old cell phone is dying and I was just offered a Samsung Acclaim by my dad. Unfortunately, it's a US Cellular phone, and I'm on Verizon, so the Hex id# isn't working.

I did some research, but I couldn't find whether it was possible to convert it to Verizon. Any ideas?

And before people start saying it; yes, I realize the phone's a few years old, and I could probably find a better Verizon phone for cheap. I'm just curious if it's possible.

That's a CDMA/CDMA2000 phone, so it should run just fine on Verizon. It will not however run on AT&T or T-Mobile

Is there a reason MyVerizon won't let me change it over?

The phone may be locked to a specific carrier. You may have to obtain an unlock code. Furthermore, you should make sure that you have a Verizon SIM installed.
