they might be there, but unless you are willing to pay $1000 + for a professional data recovery service(which could easily fail anyway) there is no way of recovery.

No at&t does not keep any of that info they told me I have to get a subpoena if I want the texts but I'm not sure they will do it for me just cuz I ask

no one seams to know how to read on this forum. he already tried that at the beginning of the thread.
 
I'm sure if you tell the CIA that you lost all the texts from your friends in Somalia they'll retrieve them and deliver them to you in Guantanamo Bay but short of that, you have no chance of getting your messages back.

If you move to a smart phone and face the situation it becomes a different matter but with your equipment, tere is no way it can be done.

Can you not have the senders re-send?
