I have been looking for a new machine for a while now and have no luck settling on anything. I recently built a new gaming desktop based off haswell and plan to use it for the more intense stuff such as gaming and larger class stuff. I am currently in college and will be using what ever i get as a mobile way of web, email, reading, doc editing, and etc. I have my eye on a few products and really need help deciding what to do. I already use google drive and docs for some papers and thing for school from my phone and desktop and enjoy using them.

First I have the new Nexus 7 on my list mainly because I like that it has the latest android all the time and I like how it is super easy to put in your pocket and go. https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_16gb_2013

Second, the HP Slatebook x2. I know it is not out yet but it looks promising but I am concerned that its extra features would not be a large enough benefit over the Nexus 7 since it cause over a one hundred more. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/ads/x2/slatebook-x2.html

Third is a the Lenovo u310 touch. I know this is a laptop but I though I might as well give it a shot too because it is capable of doing everything that the tablets do and more. http://www.staples.com/Lenovo-IdeaPad-U310-133-Touch-Screen-Ultrabook/product_141488

Let me know what you all think and if there are other products that you think would be better let me know as well.

I have a nexus 7 (2013), i get digital versions of all my text books on it and they're really easy to read with the amazing screen it has, web and email is great on it, i'd say doc editing would be it's weak point, i have a laptop as well for when i need to do that stuff, but the tablet means i don't need it most of the time. For basic editing, it works, but to do special formatting and long papers, get something with a keyboard and decent word processing software.
