My budget is around 2000 dollars so i'll link the laptop i was thinking about buying and if you guys could tell me what you think of it or make suggestions on something else. Thanks alot!

that laptop is super overkill for SWTOR, iam not really an expert on laptops so i wont suggest you a diffrent one, but you can get a laptop half as strong as this one and still get real good performence in swtor.

I would even say that the ASUS G750JW-DB71 is over kill seems as I use to run swtor on my old g73jw pretty smooth and that only had 4gig ram and a 1GB 5870

From the THG article: Star Wars: The Old Republic: PC Performance, Benchmarked

you can get a FORCE 1761 17" notebook For around $1120
The compromises? It's a MSI chassis and a dual core 5-2430M 2.4Ghz CPU with GTX 570M graphics.
Includes 8GB RAM, 640GB 5400rpm HDD, 17.3" 1920x1080 LCD and Win7 Home Premium.

And a bit over $1500 for a Radeon HD 6990M equipped Sager NP 8170
