I'm looking at two laptops that I want to buy. One is a HP Envy with Intel Core i5 3230M and the other is an Asus with Intel Core i7-3537u. They are both the same price, and has the same GPU, so I was wondering which one is better, more in terms of possible reliability than anything else.

Asus: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/asus-asus-14-1-laptop-black-intel-core-i7-3537u-24gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-8gb-ram-windows-8-s46cb-fb71-cb/10256775.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10256775&path=fb6e6d2254ac843fccde7bf06be616a8en02&SearchPageIndex=1

I'm leaning towards the HP since it seems like a more powerful machine and therefore more bang for the buck, but I've also heard things about HP's general quality. They are both new laptops so they don't have any reviews yet, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have a lot more faith in Asus personally, I've had the G75VW-NS71 for over a year now and no problems whatso ever, also have about a couple dozen clients that use Asus laptops...the last couple HPs I had stunk and don't have many clients that are happy with them

Thanks, that's the general idea that I got from most people. Guess I'll stick with the Asus for the reliability
