Hi guys,

I have seen alot of post on here already about a gaming ultrabook with lots of responses saying basically, "don't buy an ultrabook". But my questions is very specific. I have three laptops I am looking at, all under .9" I want your input in which is these three would handle gaming the best:

1. Samsung Chronos 7 - Not the useless US version, the real deal that if it wins I will be buying from the UK.

CPU: Intel Core i7 Processor 3635QM (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8870M Graphics with 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 8GB DDR3 System Memory at 1600MHz (on BD 4GB + 4GB x 1)
SSD cache: No - Says it has RAM accelerator (whatever that is)
Storage type: 1TB SATA II Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Display: 1080P

2. Dell XPS 15
CPU: Intel Core i7 Processor 3635QM (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
RAM: 16GB6 DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
SSD cache: 128GB mSATA
Storage type: 5400 rpm 1T
Display: 1080P

3. Apple Mac Book Pro with Retina.
CPU: 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz - 3.8GHz (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache or 8MB L3 Cache)
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5
RAM: 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
SSD cache: 256GB Flash Storage
Storage type: SSD
Display: Higher than 1080P

Ok, so my main issue with these three PCs is. Samsung seems to have the best GPU, but slow storage and low RAM. Not sure if that RAM can be upgraded being that it has 1 DIMM. Maybe can top of at 12 Gigs, not sure.
The Dell has a good combo HHD + SSD, but GPU kinda sucks for gaming, but good RAM.
Apple GPU not sure of, but low storage and really good screen resolution.

I am not sure which GPU is better between the Dell and the Apple, can't find any info on GT 640 with 2GB GDDR"5", all I found says it has GDDR"3". As you may have noticed all the PC price range between $2000 - $2400. Yes, I know at that price range if I wanted to get myself a brick, I would get way better specs. But all these PCs are 15" screen and under .9". If you have any PC fitting that range that is better than these please let me know.

Guys I am getting tired, I have gone through 4 PCs so far, I really need help, don't want to buy these three just to return them.

Short answer: none of the above. Most ultra books use low power GPUs and CPUs that will cripple the most demanding games. Macbook Pro with Retina displays are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for the hardware you get, and Dells charge too much for watered down hardware. If you want a laptop for gaming, you'll need a full size one. You will hate life gaming on an ultra book.

I pretty much echo this same tune. The money spent on those laptops could be

spent on getting a BALLER Desktop gaming rig... You could check out the Lenovo Y580

Get a laptop with Nvidias new 700M GPUs though.
