All, I would like to know if smartphones have cmos batteries, pram batteries or real time clock chips/circuits.

I looked at alot of tear down reports and did not find them, but wasn't sure if that's because they just don't report such components.

thanks.

CMOS battery maintains the time, date, hard disk and other configuration settings in the CMOS memory. CMOS batteries are small and are attached directly to the motherboard. Smartphones such as blackberry have them.
Samsung announced the release and use of phase change memory chips in the smartphone market with a further promise of PCM smartphones with PRAM multi chips having their battery life extended by up to 20%. Although mostly its laptops that use pram batteries more commonly. The macbook is an example.
A small amount of higher performance phase-change random access memory (PRAM) can be used to store performance critical data, a RAID driver encompassing the internal flash and external SD card, using a log-structured file system for storing SQLite databases that are used on the web.
