dell inspiron 8600 trouble shooting

Hi, I have a dell inspiron 8600 laptop, windows xp, intel celeron m, and I am having trouble getting it to boot up. It powers up, but when windows tries to load it get hung up and screen just goes black. I have tried booting in safe mode, safe w/ command, last known good configuration none will boot up. Could this be my processor? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

No its not your cpu...it wouldn't even start if it was...

Run a hard drive test in DOS... HIRENS BOOT CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive... do NOT do this if you have an SSD...
