iphone5 screen fading

Does anybody know why my iphone 5 screen all of a sudden starts to fade to black and then restarts on its own but some times it will just restart. This happens when I am at the home screen with the icons. The charger also wont charger phone. This is getting confusing. The phone has firmware 6.1.3. Please help if you can. Thank You.

Bring it in to your nearest apple retailer. If its still under warrant they'll just switch it out.
