I personally would opt for the Asus K75VJ (2) Laptop, As has a great balance of CPU, screen res, and I particularly like the NVIDIA cards in laptops i find them to give better performance overall.

Hi :)

Lol the Asus is the LAST i would pick as parts are appallingly hard to get... (see my sig)

I would choose number 1...

All the best Brett :)

K75VJ has a bad display (lag, contrast and reflection...) if that wasnt the issue i would buy it.

But aren't Dell parts worse overall?

Hi :)

No, for a repair company like mine Dell is the easiest to get parts for...

I have LOTS of Asus laptops sitting in one of my workshops, with no chance of EVER getting parts from them :(

All the best Brett :)

To be honest newer laptops use such generic parts the only thing that is ever difficult to find in my experience is a motherboard. Never had a issue getting any parts for ASUS in the past. I also run a PC repair company. Parts that are generic (usually) are RAM, hard drive, wifi chip, batteries are easy to get so are chargers and fans and none of those parts cost more than £50 max.
