Asus Laptop randomly loses all power (battery or not)

My Asus laptop (N56VJ) randomly shuts off sometimes (as if it lost all power). This happens as often as twice a day to once a week. It has been happening since I bought the laptop (about 3 months ago). It seems completely random. This happens regardless of if I'm using the battery by itself, have the laptop and battery plugged in, or just have the laptop plugged in. I don't think it is heat related. I've tried running prime95 for extended periods of time and it did fine. When I monitor SpeedFan the CPU/GPU temperatures are in the 50s. I'm thinking I'm going to have to send it in to get it replaced but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to try before I embark on that potential nightmare. Thanks for the help!

You are correct...it should NOT be doing it and as its under warranty...return it...
