My macbook pro OS was recently upgraded into Lion 10.7.

But somehow I cannot enter the system to install or make changes in the system. I put my previous password but somehow it rejected.

In short, I need to reset this password but I don't know this previous correct password,

Please help.

It is against forum rules to bypass password. Contact Apple support and be ready to show proof of ownership.

For a 'forum rules friendly' way to reset your password, restart your computer using your computer's original Restore DVD (insert into optical drive and hold down 'C' during restart). Use the password reset tool from the utilities menu, then restart computer again from Lion system drive. All OSX versions follow standard unix user account protocols, so your user and password won't change between OS versions.

If you don't have the original restore disk, then it is against forum rules to describe other means of password reset.
