I am converting some semi-valuable LP's (old vinyl records for those of you too young to remember them) to CD.

im doing this by plugging the turntable into my sb live card and recording the input as WAV file. going to then use Nero 5 to burn the wavs to cd audio.

My question is does anyone know of a utility/program that is GOOD at removing pops, cracks and general noise/static from recordings?
since this is a once off even i would prefer it to be freeware OR shareware.
thanx in advance,
