Anyone try to buy a $25 laptop from China off EBAY?

While searching for a decent laptop for my mom, I came across several listings on Ebay which stuck out like a sore thumb. This first was an ROG Asus i7 laptop with a GTX 660m for $25 buy it now and free shipping and they accept paypal only. I clicked on it and over 50 people bought one today. Then I found the listings below as well, all for at the most $25 buy it now with free shipping. Almost every listing has a different seller with no rating. I know that this is just way too good to be true and that it would probably be better to just withdraw $25 out of my bank account and set it on fire. The thing that bothers me is that people are buying these, some 2 at a time, as if they think that they will be getting a $2000 laptop in the mail after sending some slime bag in China $25. After searching, I found no info on this. I just noticed this yesterday and I reported 5 or 6 listings to Ebay. I checked back on those same listings and they were taken down. But today these new listings below popped up. Is there anything else that can be done about this through either ebay or paypal? Or, are there hundreds of chumps getting their lunch money stolen by an anonymous Chinese guy? Or, is there that very slight chance that you might actually receive an Asus ROG laptop for the $25?

A fool and his money are soon parted. There will always be fools and scammers to take their money. Even if they are stolen, they'd charge more than $25 for them.

been watching this just now... in an hour or so 50 more buyers came, a minute ago the account got deactivated... here are the remains... no feedbacks yet but get this, about 130 buyers x 25$ = ...

If these scam sellers were smart, they would make multiple accounts so that they could "sell" to themselves and post some positive feedback to sucker people in. I wonder if the people who do give them money realize that they can reverse payment. Anyway, always check the seller history and return policy before a purchase, and if you still feel uncomfortable about it you can always ask sellers questions through the site. I've made plenty of purchases on Ebay with zero problems, it's just unfortunate that these scammers are making it more difficult for legitimate sellers to do business.

Combining these few items alone, somebody nicked around 100 000$ in a day - I'm curious what gain does Ebay have in refunding such sums (and this type of bids pop up every single day) and what are they doing to stop it.
