This CPU vs. CPU/APU

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+

The thing I get is it is 3 times faster?
I know it is never really all about these scores.

Any idea on how fast this really is compared to my old PC.

I believe the Athlon is 5-7 years old,so it must be ancient by now.
The problem is that even with this PC I can run any applications I've tried.
Except Itunes,my sister uses it and it makes the PC lag like crazy don't know why.

Games are the only problem of course.

It's only 3 times faster if the application in question can make use of the extra cores in the A10. That benchmark loads all cores.

One more question.
If I buy a laptop from Ebay from someone in Canada,will I need to pay extra.Should I be worried.
Sometimes I see that if they get charged extra while shipping to the USA,then you will get charged.

Maybe you can ask the seller about shipping to the US and any extra costs.
