I'm looking for a good high end laptop. I'll be using it for University, where I do Computer Science.

It will be used for programming + other usual university tasks, like writing essays, etc. I'll also be using it for browsing, watching movies/tv shows, communication and some gaming. Nothing extreme, but just the casual session.

I would like to get something better than my last laptop (an Asus ROG G53 w/i72630q, GTX470, 12gb ram, SSD) and something that can be customized with multiple HDD slots and possible M-sata SSD. Blu-Ray would also be great, and 3D would be awesome too :3

I would like to keep my spending around the 1500 USD mark. This laptop will be a huge part of my daily life, and I want to get the best possible quality + decent battery life. I'll have a high end desktop, but because I won't be home a lot (if at all), I need a good laptop that can do everything I'll be doing with ease and no problems.

Check out the MSI GT Series GT70 http://wuggee.com/laptop/msi-gt-series-gt70-0nd-492us.html although it may not have blue ray and costs slighty above your budget, it is definitely a laptop I would recommend if you are looking for a high performance beast that can run the most intense applications without a hitch. Specs include:

2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-3630QM
16 GB DDR3 1600 RAM
8.6 lbs
750 GB hard drive
128 GB solid state drive
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 675MX

Oh, yes, I've heard good things of the GT70. I was looking at the better model, with the 680m and 3D screen + blu-ray.
