So I have a laptop and this morning when I went to turn it on it just...didn't. There is no sign of power going through it at all. It was completely fine last night and I didn't drop it or anything since then. I did try removing the battery and the power cord, holding the power button for a full minute, plugging the power cord in and pressing the power button, but that did not work. The charger is definitely getting power, but no LEDs turn on in the laptop to indicate that it's receiving power.

Doing it a second time worked. The differences:
1) I unplugged the charger from the wall, waited for the LED to die, and plugged it back in (but not to my computer)
2) Held the power button for one minute
3) Realized that the USB mouse receiver was still plugged in and unplugged it
4) Held the power button for one minute again
5) Plug the power cable back into my computer
6) Boot????????????????

So my guess was that it was the USB wireless mouse receiver..?

Anyway, it stayed on for a short period of time, then powered itself off out of nowhere. So I went through the discharge process again and it turned on again. I then shut down Windows normally, put the battery back it, and I'm going to leave it on for a bit to make sure it's safe.
