I think i've found the laptop I want. Check it out:

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/sony-sony-vaio-e-series-14-laptop-black-intel-core-i5-3210m-750gb-hdd-6gb-ram-windows-7-sve14a15fdb/10206578.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10206578&path=61c00c3cadfc6d2f9cd6fd7d6224ab09en02

Do you think this laptop is capable of these things:

*Light* Video Editing
Photo Editing (Gimp 2.0 for now, hopefully photoshop in the future)
Minecraft/Other Light Gaming
LOTS of Web Surfing
Multi-Tasking
HD Video Streaming
Wi-Di

This is the laptop I have right now:

Will the new laptop be better then the one I have now?

Please don't create many threads for same type of question.

Probably, but see my suggestion below.

Suggestion: for your needs, buy one that has dedicated VGA (nvidia geforce 6xxxM or radeon xxxxM) and with minimal processor Intel Core i5-3xxx (3rd generation / ivy bridge).

For this type of low-budget you should go with AMD, cheaper and more "raw" performances and their APU does a really good job on mobile platforms.

This one has no dedicated graphic card (you should be able to play Minecraft / Portal and some lightweight games) and only has a 2 core i5...

AND : I absolutely hate Sony, as a IT Tech I got so many horror story with Sony Laptop.

Bottom line : Go get a Toshiba (Lowest RMA% of all companies) with a A8-A10 CPU. You should be able to find one around you prices.
