Ok so I am about to buy a gaming laptop (Alienware m17x R4) and I was wondering what is the best configuration to go with gpu wise,

1. 660m
2. 670m
3. 675m.
4. 680m
5. 7970m

Now I heard that the 670m and 675m are still fermi based.. which makes no sense at all, and the kepler based are the 670mx and 675mx and the 680m and 680mx, so I would like some clarity on this because I'm not sure how accurate that is.. haha, also the 7970m is a no brainer to me because it is the best bang for your buck.

Am I missing something? :??:

Someone please clarify...

Solution
Yes, the 670m and 675m are still fermi based.

For game only the 7970m is on the top and cheaper than 680m, but it run hot and not energy efficient. And I will say take the laptop with the 7970m.
