I was given an older vaios laptop for a payment which has a bios password preventing me from installing a fresh copy of xp. The guy I got it from bought it from a pawnbroker many years ago. He has no receipt which means Sony is not likely to help me with bios issue. Is there a way for me to install xp withuot it becoming a matter of national security?
