My acer netbook password incorrect

Hello,
My acer netbook is giving me an error message telling me "Incorrect Password" and, I have not changed my password, only i use my netbook, It was in sleep mode and after 5 mins automatilly locks. Please assist me in any way possible i have tried with and without caps lock, I have turned it off for a few minutes and its the only password i use.
