Starting in safe mode, cannot get into windows.

Hello,
When the screen for safe mode comes up and I hit enter it just scrolls down then goes to the blue screen for about 2 seconds and starts all over again.
When it starts over, it counts down for 30 seconds and the screen goes dark then blue and starts over again. Do I need to replace the hard drive?

not necessarily. did you try to do a repair with the windows cd? it might just be corrupted files.

The most common cause for this problem is a corrupted file system, it is very unlikely that your hard drive is faulty. Either reinstall the operating system or (you did not specify the operating system) do "CHKDSK /F" at the command prompt.

Defrag your hard drive in safe mode if you can.
