Set up new asus laptop to wireless

I currenlty have a macbook pro laptop that where my wireless internet works just fine. I just recently bought and asus laptop to and it messes up the mac's connection while the computer is on and it won't connect to the internet telling me simply that there is no connection. The wifi is turned on...it works when I go to a public place to browse the internet, but it won't at my home.

I would go into the router and try to change channel to see if their interference.

You might want to test different security too.
