I just received my order from HP for a HP Pavilion dv6z laptop. When I was ordering, I chose this option for the CPU: AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M (3.0GHz/2.1GHz, 4MB L2 Cache)

However, when I look in system properties I see:

Why does it show only 1.9GHz? Did HP give me the wrong CPU? Why does it say 3.0GHz/2.1GHz on the CPU I ordered?

Thank you for any help!!!

The frequency shown is the frequency that the CPU is currently working at. If you run a program that will load the CPU (such as a benchmark program) and then repeat your view of system properties you will see the CPI's maximum frequency. The A8-4500M is only 1.9 - 2.8 GHz.
