I just bought an MSI G Series GE60 0NC-006US notebook. It's got: Intel Core i7 3610QM(2.30GHz) 15.6" 6GB Memory 750GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.

Does anyone know how to tell if it supports SATA III (6 Gbps) or just SATA II? I'm considering putting a SSD into it, but if it only supports SATA II I probably won't bother. But I can't find anywhere, even MSI's website, what level of SATA it supports. According to MSI's website, the system is built around the HM76 chipset, which from what I can find supports one or two SATA III ports and four SATA II ports, but that doesn't tell me what MSI implemented in this laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I've already bought it, taken delivery, registered it with MSI (warranty), and began using it, so I'm pretty committed to it right now. But I sure would like to know if the HDD interface is SATA III or not.

Over a year ago, on September 20, 2012, I paid $1,039.99 for it on newegg.com. It's out of stock now at newegg, so I suspect they don't make this model any more. I think the graphics chip is dated, there are much better out there now for the same money.
