Hello,

I recently received a free laptop and all of the audio outputs make a clicking sound. Speakers and headphone jacks. The clicking is constant and non-variable in volume nor time between clicks. Raising the laptops volume changes nothing. Only the clicking is audible while playing audio files. The only thing that makes the sound go away is pressing the mute button on the laptop.

The previous owner said he had problems with it overheating. I fixed the overheating issue. I replaced the speakers. Fresh install of windows and all drivers are correct and up-to-date.

I'm fairly certain the issue is a connection that is grounded somewhere, but alas I didn't see anything out of place when I had the laptop open. Any insight on likely locations on the mobo where the faulty connection should be is greatly appreciated. Also, alternative theories are welcome as well.

Thank you
