Is there a way to dual monitor with 2:

while still having my laptop lid closed, if not the lid open and just turned off?
I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC. It has a HDMI and VGA output. Any setups would be greatly appreciated.

You would need a laptop that is capable of docking on a port replicator and of course the port replicator. Is your laptop equipped with an Nvidia GPU? Maybe the GPU software can control which screen is to be used.

Yes it is. It has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 mobile. And I have seen a few videos of people using the ish adapter to dual and triple screen I just don't know how well they work. And it has a VGA and HDMI output but I don't know if both would at the same time. And if they can I thought I could just buy an HDMI to VGA adapter. Anyone know of someone who has pulled this off, I would just prefer to use it as a desktop replacement because I buy and sell stocks quite often and dual screening would be optimal.
