Hello,

I am considering 2 Lenovo laptops,

A X 131e with
Intel Core i3-2367M Processor (3M Cache, 1.40GHz)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
11.6" W HD (1366 x 768)LED, Anti-Glare, Heatwave Red (w/WWAN)
Intel GMA HD Gfx 3000, Intel Core i3-2367M ULV Processor (3MB L3, 1.40GHz)
8 GB PC3-12800 DDR3 (2 DIMM)
128GB Solid State Drive, 2.5

and a E 130 with
Processor: Intel Core i5-3317U Processor (3M Cache, 1.70 GHz)
Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
Display type: Intel Core i5-3317U Processor (3M Cache, 1.70 GHz)
System graphics: Intel GMA HD Gfx 4000, Intel Core i5-3317U ULV Processor (3MB L3, 1.70GHz)
Total memory: 8 GB PC3-12800 DDR3 (2 DIMM)
Hard drive: 500GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm

As I see the main difference is the X130e has the i3 processor and the SSD hard drive were as the E130 has the i5 processor but the 7200 rpm hard drive

both are about the same price, which would perform better.

Regard Sean

The X 131e would perform better in boot time, internal copy operations, and general task thanks to its HDD. But I recommend you to go for the E 130 model. The 3rd generation Core i5 and 500GB HDD (plus the new Intel GMA 4000) should better serve you in the long run compared to the X 131e and its SSD (and its GMA 3000)

Tanks that sounds like good advice, I might consider adding a SSD later, (no an option when ordering). Does anyone have any experiance, good or bad with the Lenovo E130?
