It is very very hard to track a stolen computer. Unless you had lo-jack or similar software (or bios functionality) installed, this is going to be nearly impossible.

Where was it stolen ?

the best offense at this point is for you to keep your eyes posted on all the local classified ads (in print and online) and see if someone pops up who's selling a laptop like yours

And I suppose, eBay...

Unless you had some software clients installed that allows you to tunnel to your laptop, or know its IP address, like any type of servers, DDNS clients, etc.
