Which laptop should I get?

I have managed to find 2 nice laptops for roughly the same price. I will be using quite a bit of gaming but I don't need Ultra specs, medium does me well.

I know the Acer Timeline has better specs, but was wondering if any of you have it, as I want this laptop to last for 5-6 years (I know it will become outdated in terms of gaming, I don't mind), I hoping for some advice in terms of reliability.

The Acer don't have better overall spec. The Asus have better spec on CPU out of the 2.

As of now, the performance will suffer for the ASUS laptop because the GPU is the determining factor for games. However, that would not be true in 5-6 years as you will not use it for games and use it for general task instead (CPU dependent by then). So you are in quite a delima.

IMO, ASUS is also better in terms of reliability.

But there is still no guarantee on whether the laptop will last 5-6 years so lets just get the gaming performance you need for now and get the Acer.

I would recommend you to look at the Acer laptop Pyree showed you, but you may also take a look at these:

ASUS N53SM-ES72
Dell XPS X15L-2143SLV
ASUS U31SG-AS52

They all are different. I don't know your exact needs, but one of this should fit them. I personally like the last option, because portability is crucial for me

in my opinion , asus's i5 2430 get gpu for some special use such as save the eletricity and afford some easy game
what's more important is that acer's 2467 only is a low-voltage edition which can only achieve 1.6 g

but when it comes to graphics card m3 use the 640 which use new constriction and n55 only use 635

i think asus has a better quality
when put it together i think n55 will be much better eventhought garphics card is a little bad, i think n55 suit you bwtter
