How to format new hard drive with partitions for SSD and HDD

Hello, 500GB 5400 RPM hd crashed on Toshiba Satellite A505 laptop. Replaced with 750 GB 7200 RPM's. Not all drivers will install. Need to set up partitions for SSD & HDD

You arent real clear here.... So you have 2 drives?

I assume the OS is reinstalled, thus right click Computer go to Manage, Expand Storage and then click on Disk Management. At that point you can click on the drives and create all the partitions you want.

if you are using the restore disk that came with your laptop then it is not possible to partition with it because all they do is automatically set the laptop back to factory defualts. . you will have to go find a 3rd party program that can partition the drive for you or another find copy of the version of windows you have and use the cd key on the laptop to activate it
