Shuttle system SN41G2

Anyone here using that system? If so can u please post what drivers you are using for both nforce and the integrated videocard.

So far i have had nothing but trouble getting a combination to work. My best combination made the graphics hurt horribly but it did run. only bad scores on the benchmark and worse fps than my old pc.

My closest combination to be correct hangs at the WinXP screen for like 4 minuts before booting up. then it seems to run fine for a while ..then if i try to run a benchmark it will bluescreen on me.

im running the latest nforce stuff shuttle offered for this box. i tried the latest video drivers they recommend but thats where it keeps locking up during and after installing them(for about 4 minutes or so).

its a clean install of xp on a new hd. everything in my box is new. im just tryin to get it all setup.

There are two sets of drivers for XP
the VGA and the chipset drivers

Did you install both?

All three of these items seem relatively recent: 7/17/2003.
1) Bios
2) Win2K/XP VGA drivers
3) Chipset drivers

Seems to me that you really don't have a choice as to what to install. Install it all.
I also just noticed from your posts in the other section that you that you have an XP2600 but you didn't note if this was the Barton or ThoroughBred core and the bios update has something for the the 2600 Barton.

ok...

i have updated the bios to the suggested one from shuttle (dating 7/17) sucessfully

i have used the nforce drivers suggested from shuttle (7/17) and updated sucessfully

when it comes to the video drivers, i tried the ones suggested on the site. it hangs during the install at a black for 3 minutes and it also hanges at the winXP screen during bootup for 3 minutes everytime i reboot after that.

i try different drivers for the video (from nvidia) and still same results

the ONLY way i can get it to run at an OK speed is by using the nforce and vid drivers that came with the cd.

sure dont sound normal to me. should i look into exchanging the shuttle for another one just like it?? or am i just thinking crazy
