Sound issue with HP G61 notebook

Hi everyone,

I have an HP g6-511WM notebook with a small issue. The sound works on the speakers, but when I plug in headphones I only hear sound in the left ear. I tried updating the drivers and that did not fix anything. What could be the issue?

Since you mentioned the sound is coming out of the speakers have you tried using another set of headphones?

Hi Adrian -- I'm experiencing the same prob. Same laptop. Just started happening out of the blue.

Did you ever find a fix?

...and, yes, SoMeAm, I have tried a diff't set of headphones. It's nothing to do with them.
