MSI GT70 user upgradeable?

Hi there,

I made another thread about the GT70 a few days ago. One question before I make a buying decision: are the processor, RAM, and video card able to be upgraded by the user? Thanks!

It actually appears to be an enjoyable laptop to work inside of - rare, I like it.

what do you mean? I don't think that you can replace the CPU after you bought it.
You can customize the GT 70 before you buy..

Upgrades are always an option - just depends upon the lengths you are willing to go to. 90% of the time the value is not there for the cost/effort when dealing with laptops - especially if "reballing" is required. But if you check out that vid, you'll see that removal of those three components is (relatively) easy. don't even have to watch three minutes to see Ram, CPU and GPU removed - with nothing more than a screwdriver and plastic shim.

I have tried to upgrade my GPU from GTX 670m to GTX 780m but it didn't work on my GT70, just wasting money.

I could not install the Nvidia driver. beside after about 10 mins of turning on the notebook it smells like something metal getting burned.

GTX 780m has huge power consumption compared to 670m...

I'm pretty sure a 770m or 775m would have worked fine.
